Devlog: LoopForge Studio v1.0 Free Edition
LoopForge Studio is now ready as a free browser-based music tool for game developers.
The idea behind LoopForge is simple: making game music should be fast, approachable, and useful even if you are not a composer. Pick a game style, generate a loop, edit the arrangement, and export it for your project.
What It Does
LoopForge Studio generates game-ready music loops directly in the browser. It includes sections commonly used in games:
- Intro
- Main Loop
- Danger
- Victory
Each track can include lead, bass, chords, texture, and drums. You can edit the step grid manually or use presets to generate something quickly.
New In v1.0
- One-click music generation
- Genre Packs for Horror, RPG, Racing, Platformer, Cozy, and Sci-Fi
- Scene, mood, and energy controls
- Editable step sequencer
- Stream View for OBS or livestream capture
- WAV export for game engines
- MIDI export for music tools
- JSON export for code
- Project save/load with .loopforge.json
- Free-use license for exported music
Free Export License
Music exported from LoopForge Studio can be used in personal and commercial game projects. No watermark or attribution is required.
Why I Made It
A lot of indie games need music early in development, even before final art or sound direction is finished. LoopForge is built for that stage: fast sketches, usable loops, and simple exports.
It is not trying to replace a professional composer. It is meant to help developers get working music into their game quickly.
What Is Next
Future updates could add:
- More genres
- Better instruments
- More chord progressions
- Longer arrangements
- MP3 export
- More visualizer styles
- Extra drum kits
Try It
Open index.html in a modern browser, press Start Studio, choose a genre or scene, then press Make Music.
Export WAV for your game engine, MIDI for editing in music software, or JSON if you want to rebuild the arrangement in code.
